La Push, Quileute Reservation, Olympic Peninsula, Washington

March, 2012

We spent an awesome weekend on the most scenic beaches in Washington. The National Park beaches are in La Push, WA and are called First Beach and Second Beach.
We managed to land this little beach adventure on the best weekend of year! It was warm, sunny, and beautiful!

All of the images below link to larger images.

First of all, La Push is incredible.
A good map will show you that these beaches are in an area known as 'The Graveyard of the Giants', a group of dramatic seastacks along the northern Pacific coast of the Olympic Peninsula.

The company made this trip very unique and special!
We were there with three other couples. Each of us has a two year old girl!
Meet the girls:

Morgan

Clare

Naima

Lucy

We rented a couple of small cabins right on the beach.
There was a truly massive piece of old-growth driftwood on the beach in front of our cabins.
We spent a fair amount of time there, playing with the girls and chilling out.

I brought my guitar too and we had a nice little jam on one of the cabin decks.

I took lots of pictures of Cynthia and Morgan.
The scenerey and the family were so beautiful. I'll just post a few of the best photos here.

I think this is my favorite photo. I'm framing it.

More family photos

We spent most of Saturday on Second beach, looking at tidepool creatures and playing on the beach.
That big seastack out there is accessible during really low tides.

Apologies to Greg and Elise! I didn't get a picture of your family!

Here's the whole group of us.
I think we all had a great time, and I look forward to doing something similar again!
