Middle Sister
Three Sisters Wilderness, Oregon Cascades
July 15, 2015

Dan met us at camp when we returned from our attempt at the North Sister.
We struck out for the Middle Sister the next morning.
Unfortuntaely, due to Dan's ongoing illness, he had to turn back after a couple hours of hiking toward the Middle Sister, around where this photo was taken.

This view of the day's challenge (above) was a little discouraging.
The was no trail, just a long, steep, and largely unbroken swath of sharp and loose rock. Yikes!
Well, at least there was some snow. We'd make use of that.
Onward!

A sample view looking forward and up.

Many hours later, near the top, I took this photo of the final stretch.

A great view of the South Sister.

Rawr!!!!
